I have been meaning to share a funny story that happened last sunday but I haven't had a chance until now to blog it. Josh and I got back from our trip on friday night and we all came home from my parents house on saturday. On sunday morning Raegan woke up in a pretty bad mood. I am sure she was reacting to us being away and getting used to being home. But she was having some morning. She kept wanting me to pick her up and I was supposed to still be resting from my procedure so I told her I couldn't pick her up. She wouldn't eat her breakfast. She through a fit when Josh was changing her diaper and getting her dressed. It was pretty much a morning of tantrums. But by the time we got her in the car for church and she had had her milk she was ok. We dropped her off at Sprouts ( childcare) and she was fine. When we went to pick her up all of the other kids were begging for a snack, crying or getting into trouble. But Raegan was just playing as nicely as could be with some dress ups. Both ladies proceeded to tell us how good Raegan is, how she is the most well behaved child, what a joy she is to have in their class, how she plays so nicely with all of the other kids. It was certainly nice to hear and we know she is a really good child. We are so glad that she behaves when we leave her. It is just funny how different she is for us sometimes at home. I know I was the same way, always way worse for my parents. I don't think she has ever thrown a tantrum for anybody else but us. And she is a very sweet child at home most of the time but she definitely has her moments. No one believes when we say she throws tantrums but honestly she does! But we are so thankful for her, tantrums and all! It just means she is determined and persistent and that is a good thing. It's our job as parents to help her know how to direct those traits.
One of the childcare workers said " you couldn't have asked for a better child". We know, Raegan is more than we could ever have asked for or imagined.
