Fall Fest!

On saturday we took Raegan to a fall festival. I was looking online for something to do and I found coupons for free admission to the opening weekend of the fall festival so not only was it a lot of fun but it was free! Coupons make me very happy! We had never been to this farm before but it was a lot of fun. We went on a hayride first which Raegan really liked. She kept saying "track-tor". It was a long hayride and they had different themes throughout the ride. They even had cowgirls come out on horses at one part of the ride. Raegan really enjoyed it. After the hayride we saw some baby cows and a pig with brand new piglets. Then we went on some really fun slides. We took turns taking Raegan down the slides. Raegan kept saying "again again" as soon as we got down to the bottom. We had some lunch and listened to live music. And then at the end we each got to choose a pumpkin to take home. It was a really nice day as a family. Beautiful weather and free admission, can't get much better than that!

A Fun End to the Summer

I am a little behind on my blogging but I wanted to put up a post ( better late than never) about our Labor Weekend. My brother Scott and his family decided to come up from North Carolina for the long weekend. They are expecting their 4th child in december so this would be the last chance they would have to travel up before the baby is born. Josh switched his days off so he took off on friday and we drove up to Baltimore in the morning. My dad got some passes for the aquarium from work so we all went downtown. We had a lot of fun going to the aquarium. Raegan was especially excited to see a huge sea turtle swimming in the big pool. All of the kids enjoyed looking at all of the fish and sharks! And the highlight ( well at least for me) was the Dolphin show. I am sure Raegan will be able to appreciate the aquarium more as she gets older but she seemed to enjoy looking at the "ish-ies". On saturday morning we got up early and drove downtown again to where my brother David's boat is docked for the summer. He took us all out on his boat. Raegan seemed to have mixed emotions about the boat but she really liked it when we went fast! She was yelling and laughing. She started to throw a little tantrum towards the end ( i think b/c she was bored and wanted to get down). So as long as you are going fast she likes boat rides! Then after naps for everyone we headed to Uncle David, Aunt Erins and Tyler's house for swimming and steamed crabs! A lot of my family who I hadn't seen in a while were able to come over so it was really fun. And I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious crab soup ( thanks dave) and steamed crabs. Raegan and all of the other kids enjoyed playing in the pool. We pretty much had to drag them out of it after about 3 hours! But the weekend was a great end to the summer! You can't do much better than spending time with family and eating steamed crabs by the pool! I am a little sad to see summer come to an end but we had a good summer and we are looking forward to the fall!
