Summer Time

This weekend it felt like summer time here! Too bad the pool wasn't open! We took advantage of the nice weather and enjoyed our time as a family! On saturday morning we went to Occoquan for the farmers market in the morning. Then we came home and put Raegan down for a nap. Then we went over to the church for family pictures. Raegan wouldn't really smile but the pictures still turned out good. We went out to lunch on the way home and sat outside since it was so nice outside. When we go home Daddy put up Raegans new swing under the deck and she also enjoyed swinging on the hammock in the shade. Today we went to church and then this afternoon our church rented out the indoor pool right by our house for a pool party and Baptisms. We took Raegan in the pool and she loved it. She splashed around and made boat noises. She doesn't mind at all when her face gets wet. I think we have a little fish on our hands. And the swimming must have made her hungry because she ate almost 2 whole pieces of pizza for dinner! We had a really nice weekend as a family!

A New Favorite

Raegan has a new favorite thing to do. Reading books! We have tried to read to her every since she was itty bitty but she never really showed much interest. But over the last week she has decided that books are really cool. All day long she brings me books and then wants to crawl into my lap and have me read to her. So far her 3 favorites are " Little Bear and Her Friends",

"The Ten Friendly Fish" and " Cookie Monster Counting Book". I am glad that she likes to read now although now it means I get absolutely nothing done because she is constantly bringing me books to read to her but that's ok I love spending time with her! She also has a new love for the outdoors. We were finally able to venture outside over the weekend. Josh and I worked on cleaning up the deck and patio and putting in our garden so I was able to let Raegan outside on our deck to play. She loves playing with bubbles and just being outside. I am looking forward to the summer when we can take her to the pool! Raegan has also perfected her "kiss". She makes a kissing sound and she loves putting her little lips up to your cheek and giving smooches. It's really sweet. I even see her on the video monitor kissing her stuffed animals when she is playing before her naps. She is such a sweet little girl! We have had a fun weekend with our little girl and are hoping for some more nice weather days in the near future so we can spend more time outside!

Easter

Raegan enjoyed her second Easter yesterday. It's hard to believe that this is the second Easter that we have celebrated with her and it's amazing at how much has changed in that year. We aren't real big into the Easter basket thing in our house but we did give Raegan an Easter basket filled with some little toys. She seems to be more interested in the basket and she liked putting it on her head after she dumped everything out. We had a nice time at church in the morning. And then I brought Raegan home to take a nap while Josh played guitar at the second service. Then after Raegan woke up from her nap we headed up to Maryland to have Easter dinner at my brother's house. Raegan enjoyed playing with her cousin Tyler and his cousin Connor. Tyler even took Raegan for a ride in his jeep! I thought she might be scared to ride in it but she actually seemed to like it. We all enjoyed a delicious dinner and we headed back home. Raegan even slept in till almost 8 this morning so that was a nice treat for mommy! We had a really nice Easter and enjoyed seeing family and friends!
